Our Surgical Team
The Largest Hair Transplant Team in Hong Kong
Our surgical team consists of one full-time hair transplant surgeon and eight assistants.
Staff were selected carefully to provide you with the best mediacl care and service. Two are qualified nurses. Another three were previously working in clinics and medical laboratory. All were trained to assist the doctor in surgery.
We also have an in-house hairdressor to advise you on hair care before and after procedure.

The Advantage of a Large Team
Once hair follicles are removed from the body, they have a limited survival time. The final result depends largely on how many grafts will live to grow. More people working means less preparation time and more graft survival.
Megasession
Many patients with extensive hair loss wish to have the best possible result after just one procedure. We are capable of transplanting more than 3,000 grafts (or 6,000 hair) in a one day session.

Good Hand-Eye Co-ordination
Assistants must handle hair follicles without crushing. Eye-hand co-ordination is therefore important. Our assistant must first pass a an eye-hand coordination test. They will then be supervised in proper training. Many hours are spent in front of the microscope as all assistants must know how to prepare graft.
Each one is trained in another speciality such as slivering or insertion according to abilities. They have to follow our protocol in infection control at all time.
Basic life Support
Hair transplant is a safe procedure. There is no regulation in Hong Kong about office procedure but we volunteer to follow the American Guideline, raising our standard to an international level. For this reason all assistants are required to hold a certificate in Basic Life Support. They are trained to use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) and assist in resuscitation when situation arises.
A Heart for the Patients
All assistants must respect their roles as health care providers. Every measure is taken to ensure patient's safety and comfort. They are not allowed to discuss patients outside the center or face immediate dismissal.

A Trained Surgical Assistant
Sara had proper training as hair transplant assistant. She was personally trained by Ms.Patcharee, the head nurse of Dr Pathomvanich, and knows very well each step of the procedure. She specialized in slivering and graft cutting.
A Qualified Beautician
Sara is also a qualified beautician. She will provide professional advice on your hairline or eyebrows design, and give you practical advice before and after surgery. She is holding the following qualifications:

Ronnie - Our Customer Service
Ronnie worked as Clinic Manager for many years before joining our center. She has extensive experience in personal service, fully understanding the importance of ethnical and profesional patient care. She will serve you as a patient in need, not a customer with cash.
Ronnie has been well trained as hair transplant assistant. Her specialities are wound care and graft insertion. She also holds a certificate in Basic Life Support.
Liza - Our Inhouse Hairdressor
Four weeks after the procedure you may want the first hair cut. Many hairdressors know nothing about hair transplant and may be alarmed by the donor healing and transplanted graft. Vigorously hair wash with finger nails may damage your recipient site. Use of shared scissors also increases chance of infection.
Now you can have the first hair cut in our center. Lisa has been working as a hair stylist for many years. She is here to provide you the best hair care after surgery.
She has experience working in medical clinic and well trained as a hair transplant assistant. Her specialities are graft cutting and wound care.

Quality Control and Scientific Research
Emily - Our Quality Control and Research Supervisor
We strive to maximize the growth of your transplanted hair follicles. However there are many factors that can adversely affect graft survival.
In order to minimize any possible error during a hair transplant procedure, Emily will ensure that every stepis performed according to protocol.
So far we are the only center in Hong Kong that has been involved in Scientific Research in Hair Transplantation. Emily assists our doctor in conducting studies and preparing presentation in international conference. Her qualifications include:

Our Medical Advisors
Dr Damkerng Pathomvanich M.D.
We have full support from Dr Pathomvanich. He developed the "Open Technique" and "Retention Suture", the two important break-throughs in hair transplant technique. He shares his 20 years experience with our doctor, meeting regularly to discuss any latest advance and development
Dr Pathomvanich is certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery, Diplomate American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeon. He was on the original International Advisory Committee for the ISHRS , board of governor of ISHRS for the past three years and member of the ISHRS.
He was awarded the ISHRS Golden Follicle Award in 2010. |
