Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery

Dr Ng was graduated from the University of New South Wales in Australia ( 1984 ). He has been working as a registered medical practitioner both in Australia and Hong Kong for the last 27 years.


Surgical Training

With special interest in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr Ng underwent an extensive surgical training in:
  • Tokoroa Hospital, Tokoroa, New Zealand (1983)
  • Mount Druitt Hospital, Sydney, Australia (1984 )
  • Dunedin Hospital, Dunedin, New Zealand ( 1984 )
  • Westmead Center, Sydney, Australia (1984 to 1985 )
  • United Christian Hospital, Hong Kong ( 1986 to 1989 )
He was specially selected to learn from the world famous Dr Paterson his personal techniques in cleft-lip and cleft-palate repair. His residency in the Intensive Care Units granted him the knowledge and skill in handling complicated surgical cases.


Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

In 1989 Dr Ng attended a 3 months intensive TCM / Acupunctive course in the Guangzhou TCM College in China. He later successfully combine both TCM and Orthodox Medicine in his medical practice. In 1995 he was elected member of the "Australian Traditional Chinese Medicine Association", followed by the "NSW Association of Chinese Medicine" in 1997.


Fellow in Family Practice

Dr Ng returned to Sydney and worked as a Family Physician from 1989 to 1997. His busy clinic attracted patients from all over Sydney. He was awarded a specialist qualification in Family Medicine (FRACGP) by the Royal Australian College. In 1994 Dr Ng was vocationally registered in the state of NSW.


Polyclinic Director, Union Hospital ( Hong Kong )

In 1997 Dr Ng was recruited by the Hong Kong Union Hospital. His appointment as Polyclinic Director was to set up the first Polyclinic in Ma On Sha. After serving the local community for over 10 years, he received his long service award in 2007.
Some of his patients have become friends. He was missed by many when he resigned in 2007 to devote his career entirely to hair transplant.


Diploma in Dermatology

Many of his patients suffered from skin problems, They were in need of long term medical care but could not afford to see a skin specialist ( Dermatologist ). This gave Dr Ng the motivation to advance his study in dermatology. He attended seminar and examination held in Singapore and the United Kingdom. In 2003 he was awarded a Diploma in Practical Dermatology by the University of Wales ( UK ). This gave him the skill and knowledge in looking after patients with hair loss problems.


Master in Pain Medicine

Dr Ng believes that a good doctor should have the skill in allievating the most common complaint in patients - pain. He enrolled in a 2-year course in Pain Medicine and was awarded a Master Degree by the University of Newcastle ( Australia ) in 2006. The knowledge proves to be most useful when performing a hair transplant procedure with minimal patient discomfort.
