* We prefer harvesting by Strip to obtain good quality donor hair.
For less than a total of 300 grafts, patient can choose FUE at no extra cost.
What is a Graft
An intact piece of hair-follicle tissue to be implanted.
We carefully choose hair to match the existing beard or moustache. For those with fine donor hair, more grafts are required to achieve good density. Both 1-hair and 2-hair follicular units may have to be used.
How to Calculate the Number of Grafts
The total number of graft would depend on 3 factors :
- Density desired, usually 30 - 50 grafts per sq.cm ;
- Amount and quality of your existing beard and moustache hair
- Length and width of your desired bear and moustache to calculate the total areas
More is obviously required for males who wish for a thicker and wider moustache or beard. The actual area for transplantation must be measured before we can estimate the number of grafts required..
